I was messing around with different flies and came up with this fly. I am still working to make it better but it is fairly good. I want to to try it out this spring and hopefully catch a big trout. It is triple articulated but instead of the middle hook I used a articulation shank.
The materials I used was:
- #6 Orvis hooks
- White marabou
- Green or black hackle
- Ice chenille
- Rubber legs
- Lead eyes
- Craft fur in a dubbing loop for head
To go into further detail I will try to tape a video on my You Tube channel.
Nice fly, Will! That should work well for the big ones. BTW - Be sure to wear eye protection when you fish it. Best, Matt
